Join Heather R. Burkart CAP, RPYT, ERYT, YACEP lead teacher for the Milwaukee Prenatal Yoga Community for this live-streamed webinar. What was Yoga's original intention and why? What influenced Yoga's evolution in the West? What are the many ways yoga can be practiced other than asana? Learn the answer to these questions and more. Discover a short history of yoga, the basics of yoga philosophy, and ethics so you can honor Yoga's roots in your own practice and teaching. You'll be introduced to the six branches of yoga, Patanjali's 8-Limbed Path, and the Yamas & Niyamas. There will be Q&A at the end of the presentation.
All registrants will be sent a replay of the webinar. This course can be taken for credit either for MPYC PYTT (Level 1) or for Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Credits.
